Pelion’s SIM register gives you instant visibility of your entire SIM estate. Whether you're managing a handful of SIMs or a globe-trotting deployment, you'll get detailed insights into connectivity and usage. You’ll know exactly what each SIM is up to – whether they’re online, slacking, or on the verge of burning through data.
Less guesswork – just the insights to make smarter, faster decisions.
You can use the SIM register to:
Compare SIM behaviour across an isolated group
Identify trends before they impact performance
Troubleshoot issues faster
Navigate to a SIM record
Navigate to SIMs register
View SIM data
Filter SIMs
Bulk search SIMs
View SIM record
To get started, click SIMs in the left-hand navigation.
You’ll arrive at your SIM register where you can view your entire SIM estate – from inventory, to active, to terminated – all in one place.
Tabs
Use the SIM register tabs to quickly view your SIMs by their current state and activity.
Columns
From key information on your data usage to your Pelion plan, the register shows you everything you need for a high-level overview before diving into a specific SIM record.
You may need to scroll right to see all the columns available to you.
Pro tip: Spot your top data users fast
Just click on the Data Usage column to sort your SIMs by data usage (high to low) and quickly identify which SIMs are using the most data in the month.
Filter SIMs
Use the filters above the SIM register to narrow your view by activity, status, or last data transfer. Here are the filters available to you:
SIM State
Filter by SIM state to see the SIMs current operational status such as Active, Barred, or Terminated.
SIM Activity
Filter by SIM activity to check what your SIMs are doing right now, whether they’re Online, Transferring, or Offline.
Last Data Transfer
Filter by last data transfer to see which SIMs have (or haven’t) transferred data within a selected date range.
Top tip – Catch your SIM troublemakers with Last Data Transfer
Some customers rely on a steady daily data flow, so when that flow stops it’s often a sign something’s up. Pelion makes it easy to monitor SIMs that haven’t transferred data within a specific date range using the Last Data Transfer filter.
Select “Not Transferred Data” and set a date range of the last two days (or a date range of your choosing) to quickly identify which SIMs haven’t transferred any data during that period. It’s a fast and easy way to catch any troublemakers before they turn into bigger problems.
So, you’ve got a full overview of your SIM estate. But sometimes, you need to zero in on a specific group of SIMs that are causing issues.
That’s where bulk search comes in.
Let’s take a look…
To start a new bulk search, click on the bulk search button in the SIM register. Once the form has loaded, start by selecting identifier you want to search by. There are five identifiers to choose from:
ICCID
eID
MSISDN
IMSI
IMEI
You can search up to 2,500 SIMs in one go. There are two easy ways to bulk search your SIMs:
1. Manual
Copy/paste your SIM identifiers straight into the manual input.
2. Upload CSV
Drag/drop or click to select your CSV SIM identifiers for bulk search.
Once you’re happy with your SIM selection, click Search.
Once you’ve clicked Search, you'll return to your SIM register with the results.
The filter row will show the total number of SIMs you searched for, how many were found, and — if applicable — how many weren’t.
You can click the not found count to see which SIMs couldn’t be located and why. For example, they may not exist!
When you need more detail, simply click on the register row to navigate to the SIM record, where you’ll find everything you need to diagnose issues, identify anomalies, and take action.
Now you know how to gather and view all your SIM data, what’s next?
Whether you want to take it offline or plug it into your own systems, we’ve got you covered.
