How to Order SIMs with Pelion – Step-by-Step

Step 1 Navigate to Order SIMs

Start by clicking on Inventory in the left-hand menu of your Pelion portal. Once the menu expands, select Order SIMs.

Step 2 Select Your Operator

In the left-hand pane, choose the operator you'd like to order SIMs for. Based on your selection, Pelion will display the available SIM types and form factors offered by that operator.

Step 3 Choose Your SIM Type and Form Factor

Select the SIM type and form factor that best suits your needs. Pelion provides a variety of options, including:

  • 2FF Mini

  • 3FF Micro

  • 4FF Nano

  • Multi-size

  • MFF2 (Embedded)

  • Profile (eSIM)

Once you've selected your desired SIM types and quantities, click Add to Order.

Effortless Tip – eSIM for All Form Factors

Time to bust a myth: eSIM technology isn’t just for the MFF2 form factor. All Pelion SIMs, regardless of form factor, can be made eSIM-ready, giving you the flexibility to future-proof your deployments using Remote SIM Provisioning (RSP), even with removable SIMs.

Step 4 Review Your Order

As you add SIMs to your order, the right-hand Order Summary will show your selections and an estimated delivery cost. Take a moment to ensure everything is correct. When you are satisfied, click Continue to proceed.

Step 5 Add Shipping Address

Enter your shipping address in the left-hand pane. If your billing and shipping addresses are the same, just click Use Billing Address to auto-fill the form. This is your last chance to review your order and shipping details, so double-check your SIM quantities and destination.

Ready to finalize? Great! Click Complete Order.

Step 6 Keep Track of Your Orders

Once your order is placed, you can view it in your Order History (under the Inventory sub-menu). Pelion keeps you in the loop by providing you with a tracking number and the ICCIDs (SIM IDs) for all shipped SIMs, which is necessary for activation. We’ll also send you an email with these details attached, ensuring you never lose track of your SIM IDs.

Effortless Tip – Keep Your SIM IDs Safe

Pelion IoT eSIMs come with the ICCID and eID printed on the outer card. Only the eID is on the actual SIM, which can sometimes lead to confusion when discarding the outer card. Don’t worry, though, we make it easy for you by including all ICCID and eID pairings in your Order History and attaching them to your dispatch email. You'll never lose your SIM IDs again.
