Pelion IoT Limited “Pelion” is committed to preventing modern slavery and human trafficking in all aspects of our business and supply chains. While we are not legally required to publish this statement under the Modern Slavery Act 2015, we believe in upholding the highest ethical standards and ensuring transparency in how we conduct our business.
Pelion operates in the Internet of Things sector, providing cellular connectivity, management services and network infrastructure to customers in the UK, EU and beyond. We employ 65 people across the UK and Canada and work with a range of suppliers and partners globally.
Our Commitment to Combatting Modern Slavery
We take our responsibility seriously and are committed to ensuring that modern slavery, human trafficking, forced labour, and exploitation are not present in our operations or supply chain. This includes:
Conducting due diligence on new suppliers and business partners.
Encouraging transparency among our suppliers and contractors.
Providing training to employees on recognising and preventing modern slavery.
Implementing policies that uphold ethical labour practices.
We source products and services from both suppliers in the UK and other international countries and expect them to adhere to ethical labour standards. We aim to work with suppliers who share our values and actively work to prevent modern slavery within their own businesses.
To reinforce our commitment, we have implemented the following policies:
Code of Conduct – Outlining ethical business practices expected from employees and suppliers.
Supplier Standards – Setting clear expectations for our suppliers regarding fair wages, working conditions, and labour rights.
Whistleblowing Policy – Providing employees and stakeholders with a confidential way to report concerns.
Human Rights Policy – Affirming our commitment to respecting and promoting human rights in all aspects of operations and business relationships.
We provide training to employees to help them identify the risks of modern slavery and human trafficking. This ensures that they are equipped to detect and report any potential issues
We recognise that tackling modern slavery is an ongoing process, and we are committed to continuously improving our approach. We will review this statement annually and update our policies as needed.
This statement is made voluntarily and reflects Pelion's commitment to ethical business practices.
