Pelion Announce Basketball Scotland Sponsorship Agreement

Glasgow, UK — April 24, 2026 — Pelion and Basketball Scotland today announce a new sponsorship partnership, marking a significant step forward in the continued growth and modernisation of the sport across the country.

The partnership represents a shared commitment to innovation, community and performance, and will play a key role in supporting Basketball Scotland’s strategic ambitions at every level of the game.

Pelion’s investment will directly support: the preparation of Scotland’s teams for the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games; ongoing development and support of Scotland’s National Teams across the Home Nations; and the creation and delivery of a modern, engaging national junior programme identity and digital platform.

Pelion’s CEO, Dave Weidner, relocated from Seattle to Glasgow in 2022 and has since developed a strong personal connection to basketball in Scotland through his son’s involvement in the sport.
