About the role:
Here at Pelion the SRE team is responsible for managing a resilient connectivity network distributed over multiple geographic regions. As part of the SRE team you’ll have to help build and maintain the solutions which help service our customers with connectivity. This might include working with other teams in the business to help deliver on common objectives, deploying new software solutions to help enable our customers, or visiting datacentres to deploy new hardware at the edge.
What you will be doing
- Help maintain and improve monitoring solutions across our production environments.
- Utilize automation to build/manage both virtual and physical server deployments.
- Help support our engineering/QA by maintaining their CI pipelines/testing infrastructure.
- Work with our support team to diagnose complex customer issues.
- Help expand/improve capacity of our network and systems to handle growth.
What we’re looking for:
- Go/Python experience.
- Good understanding of TCP/IP networking and IPsec technologies.
- Knowledge of Linux/BSD OS variants.
- Experience with Automation. (Gitlab CI/Chef/Puppet/Ansible/Terraform).
- Knowledge of Prometheus/Grafana and how they’re utilized.
- Virtualisation experience. (Nutanix/VMware)
- Knowledge of container orchestration (K8S/Docker Swarm)
- Understanding of databases and MySQL.
- Experience with Cloud technologies (Azure/AWS)
