SENIOR NETWORK SUPPORT ENGINEER
We are looking for an enthusiastic Senior Network Support Engineer, with excellent customer service and communication skills, who is passionate about providing a first-class support experience to our valued customers here at Pelion. This position suits hybrid working.
About the role:
We are looking for an enthusiastic Senior Network Support Engineer to join our growing company to provide first-class expertise and support to our valued customers here at Pelion. This position is a hybrid role, with the flexibility to work at our state-of-the-art office located at St Vincent Street in Glasgow. Working with our hard working, creative, and passionate colleagues, you will be crucial to the customer success experience for all our customers, providing vital and exceptional service when they need it the most.
What you will be doing
- Provide a variety of technical guidance and support across all our Connectivity Management products and services to our customers
- Support our customers with incident and service requests, customer onboarding and testing
- Performing advanced troubleshooting (M2M technology, Open VPNs, IPSEC, AWS , K8S , IoT devices etc).
- Working closely with the wider technical support teams for issue resolution / future release requirements
- Liaising with 3rd party suppliers and partners
What we’re looking for:
- Good understanding of TCP/IP addressing, VPN, DNS, APIs
- Experience with MNOs (Mobile Network Operators – incl. roaming partners)
- Understanding of APNs, IPSec’s, OpenVPN, & relating technologies
- Experience interpreting traffic traces with WireShark/CloudShark
- Experience using SaaS, networking and/or IoT/M2M advantageous
- Experience in Connectivity as a Service (CaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS)
- Experience of network monitoring solutions – Grafana
- Clear understanding of SLAs and KPIs
- Experience with automation platforms – RunDeck
- Experience with SIM card technologies and/or cellular routers.
- Strong troubleshooting skills, understanding and differentiating localised issues and service wide impact
- Experience with Windows, Linux, CMD and BASH.
