About the role:
In this role, you will be responsible for translating high-level initiatives and customer requests into product requirements and stories that feed into the engineering backlog. You will work closely with the Product Managers and stakeholders to understand use-cases and work collaboratively with engineering on execution, as well as monitor progress of roadmap delivery.

What you will be doing
- Understand and represent customer needs while identifying user problems
- Analyse competitors and identify gaps in our product offering
- Propose product improvements that address customer, team, and company needs
- Provide vision, direction, and methodology to engineering teams and stakeholders across projects
- Play an active role in resolving blockers preventing successful completion
- Assist in ongoing communication with business stakeholders and provide updates and feedback about ongoing initiatives
- Ensure that product updates meet acceptance criteria and our definition of done
- Assess value/return on investment, develop business cases, and assist the wider product team in prioritising epics and stories to align with overall business and product strategy
- Collaboratively work with engineering, architecture, and delivery teams to break epics into stories, document them in Jira, and groom them for upcoming sprints
- Work with engineers to accept completed stories
What we’re looking for:
- Experience in a Product Owner or Product Management role
- Experience in agile software development and understanding of software lifecycle.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience writing user stories for development teams
- Ability to structure workload and manage time productively
- Computer-literate, proficient user of MS Office and related tools
- An ability to find innovative ways of solving or pre-empting problems
- Understanding of software development languages
Nice to Haves
- Comfortable with web service software delivery and maintenance patterns
- Experience working in a start-up/scale-up environment
- Familiarity with systems that run on MySQL or relational databases
- Experience working with systems that connect to upstream APIs
- Experience with cellular network technologies such as SIM cards, 3G/4G, APN’s
- Skills and experiences in the development of mobile network server equipment’s such as Over-The-Air SIM card management (OTA) or Remote SIM Provisioning (RSP) e.g eUICC, eSIM, SM-SR, SM-DP
- Understanding of Software development/data management tools such a Jira, Gitlab, and PowerBi
- Experience or knowledge of IoT
- Experience of writing processes or documented current state within a business context
